In this tutorial, our Workshop-Buddies show you how to connect our second-generation mobile charging station to an electric car or a plug-in hybrid.
The NRGkick mobile charging station offers you the possibility to charge an electric car or a plug-in hybrid at almost any location. Our mobile charging station also allows workshops without a permanently installed wallbox to charge customer vehicles. With the NRGkick, you can increase the service level of your workshop, as your customers can always receive their electric car or plug-in hybrid fully charged after a workshop visit.
Compared to a conventional charging station or wallbox, the NRGkick is a cost-effective and flexible alternative, as there is no need for a time-consuming and expensive permanent installation. Our mobile charging station delivers up to 32 amps with up to 22 kW for electric car charging. Further benefits of the NRGkick are the integrated safety features, such as temperature monitoring and overheating protection, surge protection, residual current protection and puller detection. Thanks to the protection class IP67 and the very resilient cables, the mobile charging station is ideally suited for e-car charging in the workshop.
Charging an electric car or a plug-in hybrid is easy and intuitive with the NRGkick. The Workshop-Buddies also show you how to use all the available adapters for proper e-car charging in this video. During the charging process, the charging current and charging power can be adjusted via a touch field on the device. The charging process for e-cars or plug-in hybrids can be controlled and monitored in the NRGkick app via a built-in Bluetooth and WLAN interface. In addition, a plug-in hybrid or electric car can be charged at public charging stations with a type 2 plug-in attachment, making the mode 3 charging cable obsolete.
The flexibility of the NRGkick is underpinned by the available length variations of 5 m, 7.5 m and 10 m. In addition, the adapters for the socket types CEE 16 5-pole, 16 3-pole and Schuko are available individually or as a set.
