Quality and innovation – A brand promise that we make good on
It’s our aim to provide customers with the right spare part in the very highest quality at any time. However, our quality standards don’t just extend to the products we supply. Reliable customer service that can answer any of your questions and give you the assistance you require is equally as important, if not more so. To live up to our brand promise, we constantly strive to push ourselves further and align ourselves with the latest technologies and an ever-changing market. That’s why we compile, manage and continuously add to highly accurate databases, to give just one example. We have also positioned ourselves as an expert partner in the automotive aftermarket by setting up an efficient logistics system. In the international arena, we have gained recognition for our product ranges and our high service standards. In fact, we were even awarded the prize “Recognised for Excellence in Europe” by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
Reliable business – The foundation for success
Reliability is absolutely indispensable for our success. A 95% supply capability guarantees the steady availability and quick delivery times of our products.
Your company will also benefit from our efficient logistics processes and innovative products such as SelectH2, the selective gas detector for hydrogen. Economy, durability and a long service life are all among our products’ trademark features. We are proud of the quality that epitomises our product ranges and our customer service. Our customers also appreciate our reliability – a fact which is reflected in their many years of loyalty to us. Our total quality management concept has earned us the prize “Recognised for Excellence in Europe”, which is awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This is a logical consequence of the high esteem that places us firmly among the leading European companies on the independent automotive aftermarket.
A universally practiced improvement process
Reliability and trust are every bit as vital as quality, innovation and service. Actions are what matter:
TQM
The optimisation of quality, whether in products or processes, has top priority at Herth+Buss. That is why total quality management, which is practised right down to the management level, is the basis of our work. We have been recognised by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) with the "Recognised for Excellence in Europe" award.
Our total quality management system combines various integrated management systems. It focuses on our quality management and our information security management system, which are certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. Risk management, compliance and ESG (Environmental Social Governance) are also important parts of our corporate strategy and our TQM. Our TQM is rounded off by the "Authorised Economic Operator" certificate from the European Union. Strict selection and evaluation of our suppliers is a matter of course.

Research+Development – Parts allocation by the professionals!
The right spare part for every vehicle. That is our goal. In order to achieve this, we ask ourselves a basic question: which part fits which vehicle? Resolutely setting up and refining a dedicated vehicle database enables us to answer this question in the interest of our customers. We permanently add to our database and manage every last detail to make parts identification as simple as possible for our customers.
The Herth+Buss online catalogue is updated every month and enables customers to select the right parts before publication in TecDoc and other media.
What we guarantee:
- Consistently high product quality
- Employees with advanced technical qualifications
- State-of-the-art information and communication technology
- Regular evaluation and monitoring of partners and suppliers
- Continuous optimisation of our processes
Partnerships
A team player – Moving forwards together
We firmly believe that partnerships and collaborations can help the company and its people along. After all, entering into such collaborations means being willing to learn and continuing to develop further.
This is why we have been involved in various partnerships and initiatives – such as the TecAlliance and “Quality is Added Value” – for so many years.
TecAlliance
We have been a brand partner and shareholder of TecAlliance, the leading online platform for the independent automotive aftermarket, since 1996 and 2000 respectively. Where orders, availability, delivery dates and accounting of parts is concerned, there is no better alternative. After all, solid master data are the basis for every business process.
We have entered into additional partnerships with Partslife, VREI, ATR, Groupauto and Temot International. These are collaborations which not only help our company to move forwards, but from which our customers and end consumers can benefit above all.
Quality is Added Value
We are a partner in the initiative “Quality is Added Value”. All too often, the automotive sector has been guided by stinginess because consumers prefer their repairs and spare parts to be cheap. Yet this approach is very short-sighted; after all, vehicle breakdowns result in significant added costs on the part of workshops and customers alike.
Together with a series of renowned manufacturers, we have set ourselves the aim of putting high product quality at the very forefront of our business. We advocate a radical rethink in the automotive sector: in favour of high product quality, higher safety and customer satisfaction. You can find more information, current topics, risks and case studies at www.qualitaet-ist-mehrwert.de.
Social commitment
A tradition of social commitment
Herth+Buss has been actively involved in social and charitable projects for years. We are conscious of our responsibility as a large, family-owned company, and it is our privilege to meet this obligation in the form of various commitments. We actively contribute to charitable foundations outside the company in addition to running in-house fundraising campaigns, including at Christmas.
As such, we are a long-standing member of the charity TEILEn e.V., we actively support needy children and sponsor the racing team of Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
In the following section, we want to give you an overview of these projects which are so close to our heart:
Children in need campaigns by the Peter Maffay Foundation
Since 2012, most of the players in the automotive parts and workshop sector have been actively involved in the charity TEILEn e.V. Over 60 well-known companies joined forces to collectively keep children safe in traffic through various projects.
We organise a range of fundraising campaigns with this association. To honour this commitment, we handed out more than 35,000 free road safety items to children in over 1,000 independent automotive workshops. In the course of this campaign, free high-visibility safety vests and collars, signal armbands and bike reflectors were also distributed to drivers. By doing so, we hope to make an active contribution to the safety of children in traffic.
Other initiatives that we support alongside TEILEn e.V. include the foundation F.A.Z.-Leser helfen and the museum MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt am Main.
Formula Student sponsorship
Speed, outstanding quality and reliability are three of Herth+Buss’ core areas of expertise. Students from Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts also heard about this and asked for our support. They are members of a racing team whose members work together to build racing cars for the Formula Student contest. So far, they have designed and built a formula racing car with a combustion engine and another electric vehicle. We supplied the racing team with components to manufacture and fit out its vehicles.
Mobility
Mobility is the basis of our society.
Mobility determines how we live and operate economically. It’s the force that motivates us. It’s the engine that has to keep running.
That’s what we care about. We are Herth+Buss.
