More than just spacers

The possible uses of the self-locking rings developed in-house by Poppe are very varied. They are suitable for lines or hoses made of plastic, metal, elastomer and braided steel alike.

The ClassicFixbasic self-locking ring is the basic model in the ClipFix® range, which has been used successfully in the automotive industry for years. The ClassicFixbasic spacer exhibits very good damping properties, while its teeth make it perfect for providing tolerance compensation and acting as a thermal insulator.
The clip and double clip self-locking rings ClipFixbasic, ClipFixcycle and ClipFixtwins are further developments of the ClassicFixbasic base model. These spacers are lockable and therefore perfect e.g. for retrofitting in areas with restricted accessibility.
The repair-friendly handling, adhesive-free mounting and ease of removal are particular highlights of this range. The ClipFixtwins can be used to connect multiple lines or hoses and are mainly used as cable holders and spacers. They are also suitable for different line cross sections.

MATERIAL COMPOSITION OF SPACERS

The spacers of the ClassicFix and ClipFix® brands are partly made of ethylene propylene diene polymer (EPDM). This material is characterised by good weathering and ozone resistance and is suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +150 °C. In addition to EPDM, nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) is also used to manufacture our spacers. This has a high resistance to oils, greases and synthetic oils and caters for a temperatures ranging from -35 °C to +100 °C.
