The problem: poor release tool causes damage

The number of uses for special connections is growing every day. In a modern vehicle, the number often amounts to several hundred. The range of plug connector designs is also increasing. Conventional tools can no longer be used for carrying out repair work due to the miniaturisation. But even with special tools there is one important thing to take into account: high quality. If the quality is not right and it is therefore difficult to release contacts, there is a risk that the release tool will not withstand the repair loads. The tool can break, get stuck and make the task of replacing the contacts impossible.

The cause: electrical connections are becoming smaller and the number of connections is increasing

The trend towards miniaturisation in cars is progressing at a rapid pace. It reduces weight, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and a reduction in the strain on the environment. This trend towards miniaturisation also applies to the entire electrical system. Where electrical connections could still be opened a few years ago with conventional tools, a special release tool is now required.
