From headlights to brake lights or parking lights - modern vehicles are equipped with a multitude of light bulbs, all of which fulfil different functions and tasks. They ensure good visibility, communicate important signals to other road users and thus make an important contribution to road safety. However, twilight or poor weather conditions can significantly impair visibility conditions, increasing the risk of an accident. Proper lighting systems make it easier to keep an overview of the road and surroundings and help drivers to stay focused even in challenging situations.

Halogen lamps
Halogen lamps work on a similar principle as conventional light bulbs: a wire is heated until it glows. The key advantage of halogen lamps, however, lies within the bulb. The bulb gives off less heat to its surroundings, which means that the glow wire can be heated more intensely. This is noticeable in a stronger luminosity. The halogen gas filled into the bulb additionally prevents the filament from being used up quickly and thus enables a longer lifespan. Halogen lamps are characterised by a warm, white light, have a light spectrum similar to sunlight and are therefore perceived as natural and similar to daylight.
Xenon lamps
Unlike conventional light bulbs and halogen lamps, xenon lamps produce light not by using a wire but by means of an electric arc. Depending on the colour temperature, they produce an almost bluish light that is strongly bundled. As a result, they have a long range and provide an excellent view into the distance. Although xenon lamps produce a brighter light than halogen lamps, they comparatively consume less energy and additionally exhibit a longer lifespan.
LED lamps
LED technology impresses especially with its very low power consumption and remarkably high light output. This makes them extremely energy-efficient. On top of that, LEDs have a long lifespan and do not contain any substances that are hazardous to health or the environment. Another advantage of LED lamps is that they are available in a variety of different light colours and even cover a wide spectrum of white light.
