Today it’s time to introduce our RepPipe, RepVac and RepDPF repair kits. In fact, we’ve just answered the first question: the abbreviation “Rep” stands for “repair kits”. That certainly sounds slick, but what exactly does it have to do with “Pipe”, “Vac” and “DPF”? These refer to our innovative repair solutions for washer fluid pipes (RepPipe 54271025), vacuum lines (RepVac 54271035) and the connection hoses between a Diesel Particle Filter (DPF 54271045) and the differential pressure sensor. This year, once again, our Tech Team is training colleagues in Sales. They want to ensure that we can impart the practical advantages of our repair kits to customers as effectively as possible.
Our repair solutions offer an immediate and versatile repair option without long waiting times. During the training course, we were able to test and assemble a few connection variants for ourselves.
The RepPipe repair solutions
The RepPipe repair kit provides an immediate repair and a great-value alternative to OE options. Using these kits, faulty sections can be replaced – such as in the washer fluid pipe in the tailgate. The supplied corrugated pipe, sealing rings and various connectors all enable high-quality repairs. They are suitable for both smooth hoses and corrugated pipes, allowing corrugated pipes to be connected to smooth hoses – or corrugated pipes to corrugated pipes.
Repairs with RepVac
Faulty vacuum lines – such as in the engine bay – can also be repaired using the RepVac repair kit. It offers immediate assistance in the event of a breakdown. The existing line, which is frequently made from elastomer and hard plastic, can be replaced by a modern, corrugated vacuum pipe with outstanding results. The straight and angled vacuum connectors, the corrugated connectors, the various sealing rings, fastening clips and holding brackets all enable a repair to be performed almost anywhere in the vehicle.
And don’t panic if you should happen to use up a certain component from the assortment box! Using the bill of materials in our online catalogue, you can view all of the contained products and re-order these as needed.
Repairs with RepDPF
Using this repair kit, defective sections of the connecting hose between the diesel particle filter (DPF) and the differential pressure sensor can be quickly and easily replaced. The spring band clamps contained in the scope of supply can be mounted with the greatest of ease using our hose clamp pliers (95922000), thereby guaranteeing a firm grip. There isn’t just protection against mechanical and thermal influences, either. Pine martens aren’t able to nibble away at lines when the supplied protective hose is installed.
And if one of the little critters does persist in spite of this, our marten repellent in the Elparts product range can offer a suitable deterrent. You can see how to use it in this blog post.
