A shock absorber that works well plays a crucial role in the driving safety and handling of your car. If the shock absorber is defective or worn, the vehicle can lose a significant amount of stability, which can have a negative effect on braking performance, cornering and driving safety.

In particular, MacPherson strut dampers require a spring compressor to separate the top mount and spring from the damper.
Always replace worn or defective dampers on both sides of the axle. Replacing only one damper can lead to uneven damping performance and unstable driving behaviour. In addition, shock absorbers often have a mounting direction that must be observed to ensure proper damping and safe driving performance. All fasteners should be tightened to the correct torque according to the manufacturer’s specifications to ensure safe installation and to prevent possible damage. After changing the shock absorbers, your vehicle’s driving performance will improve significantly.
