When the season for using air conditioning starts again, problems with leaking A/C systems in vehicles becomes a common one. In our Tutorial we show you how to extract the A/C gas from the air conditioning system and use our leak location set (Art.-No.: 95980028) to fill the system with forming gas and to leak leaking locations.
This set includes a pressure reducer plus pressure display and hoses. Of course, all items from our leak location set are also available individually. Did you know that the use of forming gas compared to conventional leak detection with contrasting agent and UV light saves lots of time? In addition, the variable pressure setting on the device results in the maximum hit rate, even with just tiny leaks. Locating leaks using forming gas, which is 95 percent nitrogen and 5 percent hydrogen, is also a very environmentally friendly method of leak detection.
Our SelectH2 is unique among mobile devices in terms of its function. It is equipped with two gas sensors and a suction pump which act like an artificial nose and respond only to hydrogen. This prevents oil and petrol vapours from being indicated during leak location. The size is not decisive. Our SelectH2 or SelectH2 mini will find even the smallest leakage.
