This time our Workshop-Buddies show you how to repair a defective plug on an Opel ignition coil with our repair plug RepCon! Replacing the ignition coil connector can be completed quickly and easily.
The RepCon repair plug offers you the possibility to repair cable damage in an uncomplicated and cost-effective way. At the same time, our repair plug convinces with its excellent cable quality. Another advantage is that the required crimp connectors and pre-crimped cables are included in the scope of delivery. So you get everything you need, for example, to repair a cable on an Opel ignition coil, all in one.
RepCon can help you with a wide variety of applications on the vehicle. In addition to the repair of ignition coil connectors, main headlights, rear lights and parking sensors can also be brought back into shape with RepCon repair connectors. Defective plug connections on EGR valves or glow plugs can also be easily repaired with RepCon, to name just a few more examples.
Repairing the ignition coil connector is very simple. The first step is to unlock the ignition coil connector. Our unlocking tool (Art.-No.: 95945445) is the perfect tool for unlocking the ignition coil connector. Then cut the cable of the connection to be repaired and strip the insulation from the cut cable and the cable of the repair connector. Our stripping pliers Stripper (Art.-No.: 95942299) are excellent for this. Then the crimp connectors are attached to the RepCon repair cables and to the engine wiring harness or the existing cables. Finally, the new connector only has to be plugged onto the component and the Opel ignition coil is ready for use again.
