In this tutorial, the Workshop-Buddies show you how to quickly and easily retrofit LED reversing lights on your vehicle.
Many drivers of commercial vehicles, construction machinery, trailers or vans know the difficult situation of having to reverse in the dark. Poor visibility can severely impair driving safety. With our LED reversing lights, this situation is a thing of the past. Since 2006, there has also been a legal regulation in this regard, which states that four additional reversing lights may be mounted on vehicles that exceed a length of six metres. Our LED reversing spotlights can be selected in different luminous intensities and in 12 or 24 V, depending on the requirements of the work. When installing reversing lights, you must also ensure that the reversing lights do not illuminate the road more than ten metres behind the headlights. In addition, not every reversing spotlight is automatically a reversing spotlight with road approval. For a reversing spotlight to be approved for road use, it must have ECE R23 approval. But with our reversing spotlights, you are always on the safe side! Our reversing spotlights have both ECE R10 approval and ECE R23 approval.
The reversing spotlight installation is done in a few simple steps. The cable must be laid specifically for the respective vehicle. To create a watertight connection, the LED reversing spotlight is connected using our DTM plug-in system. The reversing spotlight can then be fixed at the desired angle in accordance with the legal requirements.
