As one of the first providers on the market, we now offer vehicle diagnostics via DoIP with our innovative diagnostic solution Diagnose on Demand. DoIP stands for Diagnosis over Internet Protocol. Thanks to a higher bandwidth and a more stable connection, we are now able to offer services that were previously not possible to the same extent, such as carrying out complete software updates for various control units.
We are thus taking an important step for the future of automotive diagnostics. In the coming years, most car manufacturers will continuously switch to the DoIP communication protocol. Manufacturers such as Volvo, Mercedes and BMW have already converted their latest models to DoIP, while Jaguar / Land Rover have been working entirely with DoIP for some time. Many existing automotive diagnostic devices can no longer perform all coding/programming on these vehicles. Therefore, our automotive diagnostic device DoD is currently one of the few solutions for diagnostic work on these vehicles for many workshops.
The first to be activated is remote diagnostics via DoIP for the relevant Volvo models. Other brands such as Jaguar/Land Rover, BMW and Mercedes will follow in the coming months. To this end, several firmware and configuration updates will be carried out first. Like the regular DoD updates, these will be installed automatically.
