It's been almost a year since we held our first race experience day at the Hockenheimring. A day full of car talk, adrenaline and motorsport, which we definitely have to repeat. That's what the second round of our experience day is all about this September!
But some readers may be wondering what this experience day is exactly. Here is a brief recap.
Recap - What happened last year
A big competition was held as part of our workshop magazine publication last August. The main prize was an action-packed day at the famous Hockenheimring, together with our Werkstatt-Buddies. For six lucky winners, this dream became reality at the start of August.
The excitement was tangible when we met for a meal and a get-together. In a warm atmosphere, the winners and the Werkstatt-Buddies got to know each other and had the opportunity to exchange ideas on exciting news from the industry and day-to-day work in the workshop.
The morning of the big day broke and, along with it, the anticipation and excitement that was felt by all participants. The Hockenheimring opened its doors and welcomed us with open arms. The winners had the opportunity to take an exciting look behind the scenes of the Hockenheimring, including the Race Control area - without a doubt a real highlight for any Formula 1 enthusiast.
The day was filled with a whole host of other exciting activities guaranteed to set the heart of any motor sport enthusiast racing - packed with exciting experiences such as driving electric bobby cars and changing tyres on a real Formula 1 car. But the absolute highlight of the day was undoubtedly the opportunity to drive a racing car around the Hockenheimring, not only as a passenger, but also as a driver. Our winners had the opportunity to sit behind the wheel and race the car around the track.
Overall, the experience day at the Hockenheimring was an unforgettable event for both our Werkstatt-Buddies and the winners, that will remain a fond memory for a long time to come.
Race experience 2.0 - Who is taking part?
Of course, we want to build on a success like that. That's why we'll be starting the next round in September...but a little bit bigger.
This year, our winners can look forward to an action-packed event at the Nürburgring, which is sure to be an unforgettable racing experience for all participants. A visit to the Klassikstadt in Frankfurt is also on the agenda - just the right thing for passionate motor sports fans. We won't reveal just yet exactly what we have planned for you over the two days. But we can promise one thing: There will be plenty of backstage insights, a Grand Prix and, of course, the Nordschleife.
But participants in our competition can expect more than one experience day. We are giving away a total of 60 winning packages to all participants. Twenty of these include a practical lighting set. The remaining 40 contain our power package consisting of delicious coffee, the matching coffee cups and work gloves.
