In this tutorial, our workshop buddies introduce you to our TesTip test lead kit and show you how easy and practical it is to use. TesTip is a set of different test lead adapters. The test lead set enables easy troubleshooting and safe signal tapping through direct contacting of electrical components. The set includes the most common contact sizes, a polarity tester, a potentiometer, a test resistor and measuring tips. This means that you have everything for various applications directly available.
The potentiometer included in the test lead set can be used to regulate the electrical resistance. The resistance can be changed by the potentiometer from 0 to 5 kiloohm by turning the adjuster. Typical applications may include checking temperature sensors and position sensors such as throttle valves, tank sensors or coolant temperature sensors.
Also included in the set of test lead adapters is a polarity tester. The integrated LED lights up red for positive voltage and green for negative voltage. Typical applications of the polarity tester are the testing of Hall sensors, photosensors or for testing whether injectors are plus or mass controlled.
In addition, a test resistor, which can be used on many SRS systems, is included in the test lead set. There is also a range of test probes and plug-in distributors that can be used for diagnostic purposes.
